You Must Try This Garlic Mussel Recipe – Great For Catering Events

This garlic mussel recipe is great for catering events, pool parties and wedding celebrations. Serve it up on elegant white shell plates and impress all your culinary guests.

Delicious Garlic Mussel and Corn Recipe:


4 pounds of mussels

2 tablespoons of olive oil

8 garlic cloves, finely chopped

4 scallions, chopped (use the green and white parts)

2 shallots, finely chopped

kosher salt (to taste)

4 ears of corn (take kernels off the cob)

2/3 cups of dry sherry

4 tablespoons of unsalted butter


Run mussels under cold water and clean them with a vegetable brush. If your mussels aren’t closed or have cracks remember to discard them.

Now, heat olive oil in a skillet, then add the shallots, garlic, scallions and a pinch of salt to the pan. Cook until these ingredients become soft, then add the corn in with the garlic mixture.

Now, cook corn for about 3-4 minutes, until it becomes soft. Now, add sherry and cook until corn is cooked thoroughly. This should take about five minutes.

Now, add mussels and put a cover on the pan. Turn pan to simmer and cook for 10 minutes, remember to stir occasionally. Once mussels are cooked, discard any that have not opened.

Using a spoon, put scoop of corn mixture on an elegant white shell plate, then top the corn with a tasty mussel. Serve to all your culinary fans.
