Simply Delectable Mini Lava Cake Recipe
12 ounces of bittersweet chocolate squares
4 ounces of semisweet chocolate squares
20 Tablespoons of butter
1 cup of all purpose flour
3 cups of powdered sugar
6 Large eggs
6 eggs yolks
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
4 Tablespoons of Orange Liqueur
Heat oven to 425 degrees F.
Grease 12 custard cups, then melt the chocolates and butter in a microwave or you can also do this in a double boiler. Now, add the flour and sugar to the chocolate mixture, then stir in the eggs and egg yolks until the mixture becomes smooth. Now, stir in the vanilla and orange liqueur.
At this point, you need to divide the batter between your 12 custard cups, then bake for about 14-15 minutes. The edges around the cake should be firm, but the center will be slightly runny, once cakes are done gently run a knife around the inside of the cup and carefully flip cake onto an elegant white volare dish.
