Easy Oven Baked Sweet Plantains
8 very ripe plantains (you should use plantains that are yellow and have black spots on the skin)
Directions: Heat oven to 450 degrees.
Spray cooking spray on a baking sheet, then cut off the ends of each plantain and peel each one. Now, cut each plantain into 1/2 inch diagonal slices or rounds, then place the slices on a baking sheet, making sure to put them in a single layer.
Bake for about 10-15 minutes until they are golden brown, then Serve up on a durable small bamboo plate and enjoy a delicious culinary treat.
Yummy Sauteed Sweet Plantain Treat
1 Cup of Peanut Oil
4 teaspoons of Butter
6 plantains, very ripe, peeled and cut int0 1 inch rounds
6 Tablespoons of Brown Sugar 1/2 teaspoon of Salt
Heat peanut oil and butter in a big sauce pan, using a medium heat, then toss plantain rounds in brown sugar and put them in the heated oil. Now, fry until plantains are a golden color, then flip them over until the other side is a golden color (this should take about two minutes or three minutes per side).
After plantains fry, put them on a paper towel or brown paper bag so the oil can drain off of them. Now, serve these delicious plantains on a lovely small bamboo plate and feature them as a dessert in any type of food setting.
