Talk about Tacos

8th Jun 2017

This summer celebrate tacos by offering them to your breakfast, lunch, and dinner guests. Check out these delicious taco ideas complete with cocktail pairings by Restaurantware.

Breakfast Tacos with Mexican Mimosas

For the most important meal of the day, start with a simple breakfast taco of loosely scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese, cilantro, wrapped in a small corn tortilla and topped with a black bean and corn salsa. Serve breakfast tacos on a three compartment bagasse plate with fresh fruit and cinnamon churro poppers. Wash it down with a Mexican Mimosa made with one part tequila, two parts sparkling wine, and OJ for flavor. Pour into a plastic champagne flute, garnish with a strawberry, and let the fiesta begin.

Pulled Pork Tacos with Peach Mojitos

Your lunch guests will be delighted with pulled pork tacos and a refreshing peach mojito. For a twist, coat the pulled pork in apricot preserves and assemble with chopped jalapeno peppers and red onion. Serve on a large bamboo leaf plate with tortilla chips on the side. For the mojito, muddle plenty of mint in the bottom of a glass mason jar and blend fresh peaches into your favorite mojito mix. Garnish with a lime and serve with a festive paper straw.

Mexican Flank Steak Tacos and Spicy Sangria

Offer your dinner guests the robust flavors of flank steak tacos and spicy sangria. Season the steak to taste with salt, pepper and garlic and combine with caramelized onions. Serve filled tacos on a stainless steel taco rack for a big impact. Spicy sangria made with Malbec, triple sec, brandy and fruit is the perfect mate to a steak taco dinner. Pour into a double wall wine carafe, spoon fruit into chalices and cheers!
