Sweet White Chocolate Candy Egg Recipe
1 cup of butter (cut into cubes)
6 cups of confectioner’s sugar
1 1/3 cups of sweetened condensed milk
2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
4 cups of pecans (finely chopped)
2 pound of white chocolate coating (melted)
Gel food coloring (optional)
Melt butter in a large saucepan, stir in confectioner’s sugar, then add and stir in milk and vanilla until the mixture is smooth.
Put mixture in a bowl.
Cover bowl and place in fridge for about 2 hours or until you can handle the mixture effortlessly.
Form balls out of the mixture and place them on waxed-lined baking sheets.
Using your hands take each ball and shape them to look like eggs.
Take each egg and dip in white chocolate coating, then put them on another waxed lined baking sheet.
If you would like the eggs to be speckled, then make a small ball out of waxed paper and dip it in gel food coloring, then gently tap the waxed paper ball onto a paper towel or plate to get off the excess food coloring, then gently press the ball onto each egg. However, if you don’t want to speckle your eggs, then just place them in the fridge to set.
Once set, place eggs in a beautiful black mini handled plate and serve.
