Chocolatey Good Fudge – Great way to satisfy your sweet tooth. (Recipe has been doubled so you can use it for a big crowd, but if you are only trying to satisfy your own sweet tooth just cut recipe in half and make one batch)
4 Cups of White Sugar
1 Cup of Cocoa
2 Cups of Milk
8 Tablespoons of Butter
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
Grease 2 8/8 inch baking dishes, set aside.
Place milk, sugar and cocoa in a saucepan, over medium heat, stir, bring to boil, stirring constantly. Now, reduce heat and simmer. (Once it begins to boil, do not stir again.)
Place a candy thermometer in pan, fudge is done when temperature reaches 238 degrees F. (If you do not have a thermometer, put cold water into a cup and drop a small amount of fudge into the water, if the fudge turns into a soft ball than it is done.) Now, take fudge off the stove.
Add in vanilla extract and butter, using a wooden spoon mix fudge until it loses it sheen, don’t over mix. Pour into your greased pans and cool for about 1 hour.
