Orange Macaron Recipe – That Anyone Can Make

As you probably have heard, many people say it is very hard to make macarons, but with this orange macaron recipe anyone can bake up a batch of these delectable goodies. These tasty treats are great to serve as a dessert. Plus, you can even turn them into centerpieces at weddings or other special occasion just by putting a few of them in a classy mini Terracotta Flower Pot.

Orange Macaron Recipe Ingredients: 500 Grams icing sugar 500 Grams ground almonds Orange food coloring 440 Grams castor sugar 320 Grams of egg whites 4 Tablespoons of water Zest of four or five medium sized oranges Directions: Place ground almonds into a food processor and pulse until there are no clumps, then add icing sugar, food coloring and orange zest. Now, add half of your egg whites and beat until you have a smooth consistency. Now, whisk in the rest of your egg whites, until small peaks form in the mixture. Put castor sugar and water into a saucepan and on a low heat melt the sugar, once it is melted turn heat up a little and cook until this becomes it reaches a syrupy consistency. Now, whisk the egg mixture slightly, just enough to bring it back to life, then slowly add in the sugar syrupy mixture. Now, keep mixing until the mixture becomes glossy and stiff peaks form. Put mixture into a pastry bag and drop small mounds onto a parchment covered baking sheet, then let the mounds dry slightly (this usually takes about 30 minutes), once they dry – put in a 160 degree C. oven and bake with oven door slightly open for about 10 minutes. Now, cool macarons, then use your favorite frosting, jelly or filling to sandwich to macarons together. Serve in a charming mini terracotta flower pot and create an unforgettable centerpiece that everyone will enjoy.
