The holidays are upon us, time to celebrate with family and friends. Many of you will be hosting a special get together or party this month, right? So, why not include this delicious Macaron recipe in your party menu. This recipe will impress all your party guests and looks extemely elegant on black mini plates.
Delicious Holiday Macaron Recipe
6 egg whites
1/2 cup white sugar
3 1/3 cup of confectioners sugar
2 cups of almonds (finely chopped)
Preheat oven to 295 degrees.
Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Using a stand mixer, beat egg whites until they are foamy, add white sugar to egg mixture, continue beating until egg whites are glossy and stiff peaks form.
Sift confectioner’s sugar in a different mixing bowl, add almonds to confectioner’s sugar, mix sugar and almonds together.
Now, quickly fold confectioner sugar and almond mixture into your egg whites. Fold these two mixtures together.
Now, put mixture into a pastry bag, then put dollops of mixture on the baking sheet. If your droplets don’t flatten out immediately after you put them on the baking sheet, then you will need to fold/stir your mixture a few more times. Remember to leave room between the macarons as you put the mixture on your baking sheets.
Leave Macarons on baking sheet until a hard skin appears on the top of them, then bake macarons for about ten minutes, until they are set. Let cookies cool and fill with your favorite filling.
An Easy Macaron Filling Recipe:
2 Ripe Mangos
300 g. White Chocolate
Chop up Mangos and puree them. Now, put the mangos in a saucepan.
Melt white chocolate using a double boiler, once chocolate is melted, heat up mango, then add the melted chocolate into your heated mango mixture. Stir until mixture is smooth, then put in a bowl and place it in the fridge until it sets, spread onto macaron cookies.
Place a couple macarons on an elegant black mini plate and serve at your party. Happy Holidays.
