Everyone Loves Tapas, Why Not Try These Tapa Recipe

Everyone loves tapas, which is why many restaurants and caterers are serving tapas every day all week long. Tapas are a wide variety of appetizers, snacks and other goodies in Spanish cuisine. These yummy treats can be served hot or cold, a hot tapa might be a chopito or flash fried prawns, a cold tapa might be olives or cheese. The purpose of tapas is to encourage conversation between the clientele of a restaurant or guests of a catering event.

You will need a way to serve your tapa, which is why you should get your hands on some modern tasting plates. You can get these kind of plates in a variety of styles, sizes and designs. They are made from plastic, bamboo, wood and porcelain. The best thing is hot and cold tapas both will look amazing on any tasting plate, but you may want to pick several different plates so you can feature two or three different ones.

Ingredients you will need:

2 cups of extra virgin olive oil

8 cloves of garlic, minced well

12 whole dried red chiles

1/2 cup minced flat leaf parsley

4 pounds of shrimp, peeled and deveined



Using a deep skillet, heat the extra virgin olive oil, add the garlic, chiles and parsley, cook these ingredients for about 10 minutes. Now, add the shrimp and cook until they are a translucent pink color, this should take about 3-4 minutes. Once shrimp is cooked, take a couple of them and put on a pretty amuse bouche plate, top with some of the sauce. Serve in your restaurant or at your catering event.
