Refreshing Strawberry Sorbet Recipe:
Ingredients you will need:
12 cups of hulled strawberries, this is about 4 pounds, you can use fresh or frozen berries.
1 cup of water
2 Tablespoons of lemon juice
4 teaspoons of vanilla extract, pure vanilla extract works really well in this recipe
1 cup of sugar
Put strawberries in food processor and blend until smooth.
Put water, lemon juice, vanilla extract and sugar in a saucepan, then heat it over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.
Pour this water/sugar mixture into the berry mixture, then place it in the fridge until cold, this takes about 4 hours.
Pour the sorbet into an ice cream maker, then mix according to directions on your ice cream maker.
If you don’t have an ice cream maker, freeze the sorbet in shallow metal cake pan or in ice cube trays for about 6 hours, after it freezes, break the sorbet a part and place it back into the food processor and mix until smooth.
