This glazed pear recipe is great for the holidays, but you can also serve it up any time of the year. It makes a sensational dessert treat, especially when you serve it up on elegant white handled plates.

Glazed Pear Recipe
4 pears (make sure your pears are just under ripe)(halve, peel and core them)
1 cup of balsamic vinegar
4 Tablespoons of honey
1 teaspoons of nutmeg
8 mint sprigs
3 cups of your favorite vanilla ice cream
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Put all ingredients in bowl, except ice cream, mint sprigs and pears. Now, toss pears in the other ingredients. then place the pear mixture in a single layer in a baking pan. Cover pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
Pull pears from oven, let cool slightly. Now, put a scoop of ice cream on a beautiful white handled plate, then top ice cream with a tasty pear. Top each plate with a mint sprig. Now, drizzle some of the liquid that is in the baking pan over each pear.
