Cannello is a great meal to serve to your family.
Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 doz. cannelloni shells
  • Filling
  • 2 c. ricotta cheese 500 mL
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 oz. Mozzarella cheese, grated 120 g
  • 2 oz. Parmesan cheese, grated 60 g
  • 1/4-1/2 c. chopped fresh parsley 60-125mL
  • Dash nutmeg Salt and pepper
  • Topping
  • 1×14 fl.oz. tin Hunt’s Italienne 398 mL tin
  • Sauce
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F
  2. Mix all the filling ingredients together until they form a thick paste.
  3. Place about 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) of the mixture in each tube of pasta.
  4. Arrange the rolls in a single layer in a shallow baking dish, cover with the tomato sauce and bake for about 20 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle with additional grated Parmesan and serve at once.
